International business consulting – standard fee structure

Retainer arrangements

We usually work on a monthly retainer basis. A fixed retainer would cover advice, assistance and  meetings upon request by the client up to certain number of hours per month. The time exceeding such monthly provision and off-site services are charged per hour at a preferred rate which is discounted from consulting fees for clients without retainer arrangements. Retainer agreements are negotiated on a client by client basis.

Fees for work without a negotiated retainer:

• Per hour off-site : US$250 per hour of service off site, plus US$125 per hour required for traveling.
• Per hour on-site : US$180 per hour.
• Maximum per day: US$1,250 per day.

Traveling and other expenses are charged for the actual amount. For international traveling we fly economy class to destinations within 5 hours from Tokyo/Narita and discount business class for more distant destinations.
